Each year the State Management Committee and the Branches host Open Singles functions when non-members are welcome to attend. These will be advertised through community radio. Our membership inquiries volunteers can tell you about these events when one is planned. These have included harbour cruises, dances and special barbeques.

Also each month Branches will have special 'Introduce a Friend Night' where non-members may attend - BUT PAY DOUBLE the entry fee (unless otherwise stated.) (Members always have discount entry privileges - so it pays to join.) These include some house parties, some barbeques and some club nights.
Branches can arrange other open functions in their programs – inquires about these is though the Membership Officers – contact numbers are on the “How to Join” page.Members can invite non-member friends to these functions only and not the majority of other programmed activities. All family / children's activities are for members and their children only unless they are a New Member Joining function.

Fun in the Snow - on a tight budget
Depart: Friday 20, August, 2010 - Castle Hill High SchoolArrive: Saturday, 21 August, 2010
Home: around 11pm to midnight Saturday 21 August
Committee Member On the Trip - Ross F (0407 012 664 - only for use on the day - I will be skiing)
WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE SNOW
Mostly have fun, make snow men or snow angles - have play - try the designated toboggan areas - take in the scenery and atmosphere of the snow country and resort facilities.Snow board and ski lessons recommended for beginners - bundled with your lesson/lift tickets. One day Perisher Blue Mountain pass for the experienced skiers and snow boarders. (Charlottes Pass lift tickets are separate and bought at the Pass). Smiggins is a nice family slope area - good for beginners and intermediate - less crowds. Perisher is the trendy area - bigger crowds - longer lift lines - but much more runs and larger resort - good skiers and boarders venture up the mountain for more freedom - maybe try Blue Cow.
The bus will be parked and locked up at Smiggin Hole (while the driver sleeps) - free local commuter bus to Perisher Valley.
From Perisher terminal snow train to Blue Cow resort (your cost),
or over snow tour to Charlottes Pass (yes it costs extra),
Or, ski between Smiggin and Perisher over the mountain.

PWP has been in existence in Australia for over 44 years so we thought it was time that we celebrated.
To ensure this nights success, we need the help of the PRESENT MEMBERS of PWP.
We are asking all members to send a text message or an email to 5 past members or post a message on facebook to let friends know about this exciting night.
We have many volunteers selling tickets from different branches and of course from Head Office. It will be like a big school reunion, but with many many more members.
The night kicks off at 7pm in the Auditorium of Parramatta RSL, Cnr Macquarie and O'Connell Sts, Parramatta.
The RSL club has been extensively renovated and looks fantastic and we have full use of the club and the auditorium. The club has fantastic facilities for eating but this will be very popular on the night, so get in early if you wish to eat. All food and drinks at your own expense. Tickets are only $10 each, for members and non members.
Our volunteers are ready to make this a night to remember, BUT to make sure the function can be staffed sufficiently, we need to know of numbers beforehand. Please do not leave your ticket purchases to the last minute. Payment can be made to one of the contacts listed or mailed to State Office.
